ITINERARY
Day 1:
Arrival Minangkabau International Airport (MIA)
You will meet our staff at the exit gate and be guided to our mini bus, sedan and pick-up truck. Depending on your arrival time, you can choose to have our staff excort you to Muara harbour, to Villa Air Manis*, or to a hotel* of your choice (*extra charges apply)
You have time for shopping for snacks to take on your trip so let us know and will have your driver take you to a minimart. Dinner is your choice depending on where you elect to stay. Villa Air Manis rates include a home cooked meal. Seafood restaurants are great or you can eat at your city hotel.
At 8.00 pm you will be taken to our boarding area in Muara Harbor where our 45ft transfer boat will take you to Lautan Megah (she is too big to enter the river)
Aboard Lautan Megah you can enjoy a twilight beer or mixed drink or head straight for your air conditioned cabin below. Party with your friends in our huge rear deck saloon or catch up on some sleep...
Day 2:
Wake up to an exotic island scene. Early risers get to try their luck trolling for big fish as we approach the islands. Fresh brewed coffee, home made bread and lots of fruit are ready when you are. Around 7 am you arrive at E-Bay Left, south Siberut. Check into your air conditioned villa at Eco Bay Lodge and then surf till lunchtime. If conditions dictate, our staff will pack a picnic lunch and our speedboats will take you to breaks in the vicinity.
Depending on the conditions you will surf Kandui area (Playground), Iceland, Telescopes, Scarecrows, 7 Palms, The Bommie, Lances Left, Bintangs arriving at Lances Right (HTs) in time for the afternoon session. (Some resort guests may join this leg). Check our wave guide for details of these and other top Mentawai breaks.
Day 3 to 7:
Eco Bay Lodge is located directly in front of one of the worlds most perfect and consistent Lefts. Your air conditioned villa and the dinning room and bar have a clear view of the wave and you have a choice of two blue lagoons just a short walk from your terrace.
Rooms are large and we have shipped in beautiful furnishings from Bali. Walking tracks lead to Pit Stops & Nippussie to the south and Beng Bengs to the north. Speedboats* give you access to a total of 12 breaks in the vicinity (see the map below) ..... or take a jungle trek overland on Siberut to experience and participate in a lifestyle that has evolved to conserve the rain forests of these vast islands.
With just 2 villas set up to cater for only 12 persons, you will be sharing this beautiful place with a privileged group in a relaxed and private environment. The dining room is just 50 m from the main break and the drama of the background creates and atmosphere that is totally unique.
Day 8:
Surf E-Bay area early morning then board Lautan Megah for your live-aboard expedition to southern breaks. Surf either Playgrounds area, Iceland, Telescopes, Scarecrows or Lances Left depending on the conditions. Arrive at HTs for the afternoon session. Check into your luxury air conditioned villa at Lances HTs Lodge and surf till dark.
Days 9-13
Surf the world famous breaks either side of the Katiet peninsular. For 90% of the time either HTs or Lances Left will be offshore. On north wind days, surf Bintangs.
Lances HTs Lodge is located directly in front of one of the worlds most perfect and consistent Rights. Your air conditioned villa and the dinning room and bar have a perfect panoramic view of the wave and the blue lagoon just a few steps from your plunge pool and terrace.
Rooms are large and beautifully furnished. Speedboats* give you access to the legendary Lances Left break just across the peninsular ..... or take a jungle trek overland and see these waves the way Lance Knight did 20 years ago.
With just 4 two room villas, you will be sharing this beautiful place with a privileged group in a relaxed and private environment. This wave machine can deliver an astonishing number of perfect barrels every day.
Day 14:
Surf HTs or Lances Left in the morning then check-out and board Lautan Megah for a surfing cruise to Eco Bay Lodge. Surf breaks along the way depending on the conditions on the day. Arrive at E-Bay in time for an afternoon surf and depart after dark for Padang on board Lautan Megah.
Day 15:
Arrive Padang at 5 am and our staff will take you to the airport, your choice of city hotel* or to Villa Air Manis* depending on your flight schedule. (*extra charges apply). Your tranfer to the airport is included regardless of where you stay.

*Speedboat access to surf breaks more than 5km from resort will be charged at $50 per person with 2 persons minimum.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Longer packages can be booked by adding 7 night modules in resorts or on Lautan Megah (other live-aboards may be available)
- Any additional transfers between resorts cost $100 per person.
- Exclusive trips on Lautan Megah by arrangement.
- $3/day Mentawai Tourism Tariff + $2/day MMTA Community Development Tariff will be added to the rate advertised at checkout.
- Optional $75 per person Padang supplement overnight at Villa Air Manis or $35 per person half day while waiting for evening transfer to Islands.

25% deposit to confirm booking
75% balance paid 60 days prior to booking date.
Payments are non refundable for boat bookings but may be transfered for resort bookings on approval by MS
